My StreetWithin a bright, vibrant, sunny neighborhood, birds are chirping, dogs are barking, and kids are getting ready to play the day away. But this is no ordinary neighborhood: within each backyard, intense competitions are underway to see who rules the ‘hood. Up to four kids in each yard (in single player or online play) are playing with chemicals, dodging remote-controlled cars, playing volleyball, and chasing each other through cornfields. With eight games to play, there’s no excuse for not getting outside and hanging with your buddies. Because if you’re coming to this street, you better be prepared to play.

You have to get this game!,
When I rented this game at All The Best video, I was stunned at how fun this was! First you get to create your own wacky character with cool hats and sunglasses! Then you go around the neighborhood talking to the characters, but you can only talk to the characters, get inventory items etc. in story mode. Play mode is just about playing the games in the neighborhood and nothing else. Here are a list of all the games that you can play and my comments.
MARBLES
This game is frustrating at first, but you should get the
hang of it sooner or later.
VOLLEYBALL
This game is pretty fun ,but very hard.
CHEMISTRY
This game is about putting the same color squares
together and when in laser mode you can zap as
many squares as you want until time runs out. This
game is very cool and fun.
LAWN MOWERS
This game is about racing Lawn Mowers. It sounds
pretty weird doesn’t it? This game is very hard to
control and I haaven’t mastered it yet.
CHICKEN HERDING
Okay this is the weirdest game that’s in My Street.
You try to lure chicks and chickens in your little
chicken house. It’s very frusterating when the pig
gets in there. You lose 200 hundred points!
RC Racing
This is just like Lawn Mowers only the tracks are a
little different. I like this just as much as Lawn
Mowers.
DODGEBALL
This is my all time favorite game! You play in the
School Gym with no gym teachers.
I hope this review was helpful so, buy this game you won’t
regret it!

|My 8 year-old loves it,
(PS2 version)
I finally had to break down and buy this game for our kids for Xmas. Nearly everytime we’d go to the rental store my 8yo son would want to rent it. (Son 8, daughter 5, son 3).
I’ve read the reviews here and find it really interesting the huge gap in opinions.
For the most part my kids never played the story mode. Although my son found it interesting once I got him to try it. They preferrred to play in game mode where they could simply choose which game to play.
Other than volleyball they seem to have little problems playing the mini-games. Marbles and dodgeball is their favorite.
I’ve played along with them and have found no issues with control or graphics. Yes, the name-calling of the characters is extremely obnoxious and border-line rude. I’m not sure it will teach kids positive behaviors in that respect. Still the games are fairly entertaining.
Certainly I wouldn’t recommend spending a ton of money for this game but if you can find it for $20-$25 there’s a good chance it will get some good playing time.
