The mildly wicked Brickster is back, and this time he’s angry! Construct your very own racing vehicle out of virtual versions of the famous plastic LEGO bricks, then steer your new creation into action. You can build whatever type of transport you’d like, with helicopters, boats, cars, and skateboards available. Of course, the type of racer you construct will determine your competition and mode of play, so choose wisely. You’ll enjoy all of the action on super-slick speedways, raging rivers, and state-of-the-art skate parks. Each competition takes place on a different island, creating a wide range of LEGO-themed locales and circumstances. The better you perform, the closer you’ll get to earning a showdown with the malicious Brickster to determine who’s the real champion. Graced by incredible graphics and stunningly original gameplay LEGO ISLAND 2: The Brickster’s Revenge is perfect for gamers of all ages and backgrounds. Play alone or take on a friend in this awesome extension of the imaginative LEGO dynasty.Kids today haven’t changed all that much; they’re still afflicted with LEGO mania. And there’s no better place to treat this malady than on the Game Boy Color (this title also works on the new Game Boy Advance). LEGO Island 2, sequel to the PC- and PlayStation-exclusive title, comprises a unique blend of mystery and puzzle solving. Players should be forewarned that the game is as childish as the name and cover suggest. Adults and older kids may find the game charming but a little too simple for their tastes.
LEGO Island 2 features the return of the dastardly Brickster. Once again he’s loose on the island and up to no good. You portray a pizza delivery boy who must stop him. The game takes place in LEGO world–the world of the toy sets–so you won’t be doing any brick building yourself. Basically, you’ve got to solve puzzles, deliver items to access new areas, bump mummies and other monsters to defeat them (you can also stun them with your, ahem, pizza gun), and explore the huge game world. Fortunately, the game features a battery backup, so memorizing or writing down long codes to save your progress isn’t necessary.
The game is made up of busywork; it isn’t particularly challenging, though there is a bit of problem solving thrown in. It’s perfect for a car trip or some other occasion when you’d like your kids seen and not heard, but there’s nothing educational or redeeming here. But since when have LEGOs not been about busywork? –Andrew S. Bub

|Not what expected,
It’s an okay game, but I’d recommend it for gamers who are 10 and under. The graphics are pretty good for GBC and the gameplay doesn’t have any big flaws. I really enjoyed seeing the Lego world on my gameboy. The only major thing I didn’t like about the game is the ending. When I got there, I didn’t even know that I was finished and it only took me an hour or less. I’d recommend buying the original LEGO Island for PC, because it is more in-depth and has lots of modes of transportation. For example, you can ride a motorcycle, a bike, an ambulance, a jetski and more. The only two flaws are that you can’t walk outside the paths/roads and you don’t really get to fly the chopper. You should get the LEGO Island PC version for kids 7-13 and Lego island gamboy if it’s for a 6-10 year old.
