The best NES game ever…,
River City Ransom is the best NES game ever made, and that’s saying a lot! This game has it all: action, violence, humor, RPG elements, replayability…the list just keeps going. Yes, the story is cheesy, and you have to wonder where all the cops are during the street fights, but that just adds to the classic dimension of this game. IF you like chubby teenage boys beating the crap out of each other with pipes and chains, then this is the game for you. The game is best played in the two player mode. And if you don’t like the person you’re playing with, you can beat them up and take their money. Fun huh! Be sure to check out all the stores. You could play this game for months and still not buy everything. It’s amazing for an NES game. You can throw tires and then ride them, you can throw weapons…the play control is incredible when compared with other fighting games like Double Dragon, which is a good game, but not even in the same league with RCR. Whenever you’re angry at the world, just turn this game on and beat on some gang members. You’re sure to feel better.

My brother and I usd to play this game when we were little. RCR is a hybrid brawler/RPG about two high school students trying to liberate their town from a gang of thugs. While the story isn’y very original, the sheer amount of gameplay packed into this title is unbeleivable. Besides the fighting, you can level-up your character by purchasing upgrades and new moves. There are several stores offering food, training, and accsessories that can enhance your characters performance. The actual character design looks a lot like the Super Dodgeball characters back in the day. It’s amazing how much they crammed into an eight-bit cartridge game. Although this game has developed quite a cult following since it’s release, it has never received the accolades it deserves. I recommend this to anyone looking for a classic, fun game to play.

|Loved the game in the past and still do now,
Got the game in nice timing, as well as plays nicely though needa clean it now n then though expected with old games and cartridges, fun when i was a kid and still is and still a pain.
