Finally an adventure game for the younger crowd,
This game is geared towards the younger crowd. It is an adventure game with occasional basic puzzles to solve or bad guys to fight. It is definitely NOT a beat-them-up, take-off-your-gloves fight game, but a nice explore-your-environment adventure. The game is fairly short and, because of the toned down challenge to make it appealing to younger kids, will not present a challenge for those more seasoned players.
Gameplay: You play as Shrek, Fiona, Donkey or Puss. As you move along you switch characters based on their special abilities (Shrek can move large objects, Puss can climb, etc). You use both the remote and the nunchuck, but the controls are very simple. There is also a co-op where up to four players can team up and this turn out to be one of the most fun parts of the game. There are optional puzzles which require 2 players to solve, so there is an incentive to play the game more than once.
Visuals: The graphics are very colorful and on more than one occasion elicited a “wow” from my daughter as she was playing.
Sound: Some very cool tunes and fairly funny dialogues.
Summary: Overall a good game, enjoyable and funny, decent controls and nice graphics. Certainly a game to play with your kids.

|Great Cooperative Play for All Ages,
My family loves this game– we have so much fun playing this together! It is a game that my husband and I can play with our two younger daughters or with our grandchildren, and because it is cooperative, even when a scene gets a little challenging for someone (sometimes the grandkids, sometimes my husband!), we just switch characters to complete the challenge. My daughter (12) loves the music (“Do You Love Pancakes?” gets a huge sing-a-long whenever it comes on.) On the downside, after viewing the video clip intro to the scenes once or twice while playing different games with different players, I wish there were a way to bypass them. It’s a short game that I suppose is easy for the “seasoned” to conquer, however, finding a good 4-player game is worth the five-star rating!
